Position Overview

Beam is reimagining beauty as a space for connection, not conformity. Our flagship store in Belgravia is home to professional makeup experiences, curated clean beauty, and community events designed to empower the makeup-curious. Founded by lifelong friends Ellie and Ana, Beam is growing nationally and internationally, and we’re hiring our next core team member to join us at this exciting stage.

The Experience & Community Lead is the heart of our store and the bridge between our clients, artists, founders, and brand. This role blends customer experience, community building, light operations, content, events support, and in-store brand execution. You’ll help shape what Beam feels like day-to-day while supporting our growth through exceptional customer service and storytelling.

If you love beauty, people, and creating elevated experiences—and you thrive in a small, fast-paced, creative team—this is the role for you.

The Role

The Experience & Community Lead works directly alongside the founders to deliver a seamless, uplifting in-store experience while supporting brand and growth efforts behind the scenes. This role is hands-on, warm, community-led, operationally tidy, detail-orientated, and creatively energized. You are the welcoming face of Beam, the steady heartbeat on the floor, and the person who helps us bring our brand to life every single day.

Key Responsibilities

STORE EXPERIENCE & OPERATIONS

  • Deliver an exceptional Beam experience for every client—from walk-ins to regulars to VIP's.
  • Manage daily store readiness: merchandising, cleanliness, product displays, atmosphere.
  • Support makeup artists with smooth client flow, time management, and in-store needs.
  • Handle walk-ins, appointment questions, client queries, and rebooking conversations.
  • Maintain stock levels, process replenishment, and liaise with founders on product needs.
  • Keep store systems updated: handovers, notes, booking insights, weekend planning.
  • Ensure the Beam space consistently feels warm, inviting, and aesthetically aligned with the brand.

COMMUNITY & CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS

  • Build relationships with clients and create a community feel within the store.
  • Encourage repeat bookings, membership uptake, and product recommendations with confidence and warmth.
  • Track client feedback and share insights with founders.
  • Support the growth of a loyal Beam community through small touches and thoughtful gestures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
