Finance Assistant - £32,000 - £34,000 - Consultancy
Our client is a growing technology and digital consultancy that helps public sector, charity and commercial organisations modernise how they work. This is a hands-on position centred on the day-to-day processing of supplier payments, with some exposure to sales-side finance. You will report into a senior member of the finance team and help keep the department accurate, timely and well organised.
What You'll Be Doing
- Owning the flow of supplier invoices from receipt through to payment, including coding, approvals and scheduled payment runs
- Setting up and maintaining supplier information in the finance system
- Processing employee expense claims and reviewing company card spend
- Raising customer invoices, chasing overdue balances and dealing with billing queries
- Preparing bank reconciliations and carrying out routine ledger checks
- Contributing to the monthly and annual close cycle

What We're Looking For
- MUST HAVE Hands-on experience with a cloud-based ERP or accounting system (NetSuite or similar)
- A good working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals, including VAT
- Confident Excel skills
- Experience following up outstanding debt, investigating discrepancies and supporting basic cash reporting
- A methodical, proactive approach and a good eye for detail
