Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Experienced Carpenter and Fire Door Installer role. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining fire doors and associated hardware to meet safety and compliance standards, as well as performing high-quality carpentry work for laboratory and office fit-outs. - Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
- Measuring and cutting materials
- Fitting doors, frames, and trims
- Ensuring all installations are completed accurately and on schedule

The role also includes collaborating with project managers and other trades, maintaining a safe and organized work area, and performing quality checks on completed work. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering tailored, compliant, and durable spaces that meet client expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong carpentry skills, including framing, finishing, and installation of doors, frames, and joinery.
- Experience installing and maintaining fire doors, hardware, and associated safety components, with knowledge of relevant building and fire codes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work plans, with accurate measuring and layout skills.
- Proficiency using hand and power tools safely, with solid understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Previous experience in commercial or laboratory fit-outs, refurbishment, or general building projects is highly beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with project managers and other trades on-site.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites as required; ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and working at heights.
- Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship as a carpenter or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
