Civil Engineer

Location: London | Hybrid Working

Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

Position: Permanent | Full Time

Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking for a role where you can take genuine ownership of your projects?

I'm working with a growing Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy in London that is looking to add an experienced Civil Engineer to its team.

The business works across a varied portfolio of development projects, and this role offers plenty of autonomy for someone who is confident taking projects through the planning and design process with limited supervision.

The Role

You'll be involved from the early planning stages through to detailed design, with responsibility for delivering your own civil engineering projects.

Your work will include:

  • Independently undertaking drainage design and modelling using InfoDrainage
  • Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
  • Producing civil engineering calculations, designs, and drawings
  • Designing below-ground drainage, external works, and earthworks
  • Developing levels, earthworks, and wider site infrastructure
  • Liaising with clients, project teams, Local Authorities, LLFAs, and statutory authorities
  • Managing your own projects, workload, and technical deliverables
  • Taking responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of your work

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
