Career Opportunity: Experienced Clinical Business Development Manager

Summary

We’re a dynamic non-profit organisation currently looking for an experienced Clinical Business Development Manager to join our UK based team. At its core, this role is about growing our UK business: spotting opportunities for new training programmes, cultivating strong partnerships, and pursuing fresh marketing avenues to reach more of the professionals we serve. This person will develop strong relationships with the thought leaders in our field, keep a sharp eye on new developments and important conversations in psychotherapy, counselling, and mental health, and seek out new voices whose distinct perspectives and approaches deserve to be highlighted for our growing audience of therapists. With their deep knowledge of the field this person will assist in finding creative ways to shape the ever-evolving “story” of our field.

We're looking for a motivated, entrepreneurial person with excellent relationship-building and networking skills, a marketing mind, and both a clinical background and demonstrated commercial or business development experience in education, training, or healthcare. Leadership and project-management skills are a must, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with a team based internationally.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing presenters, partner organisations, and suppliers.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including outreach and cold-calling to prospective partners, referral organisations, and speakers.
  • Drive revenue growth and expand access to training by identifying new markets, partnership models, and distribution channels across the UK.
  • Identify and contribute to interesting, cutting-edge, clinically oriented CPD programming by working with leading and upcoming experts in the field.
  • Turn those ideas into compelling profitable events, courses, and clinical programmes that professionals will find useful and want to purchase.
  • Maintain a sharp, current understanding of the psychotherapy, counselling, and mental health field, with a keen eye on how the UK market is evolving.
  • Work with our team to help grow our UK audience through innovative ideas for content distribution and marketing.
  • Create data-driven marketing campaigns through writing compelling sales copy and determining key target audiences.
  • Maintain a robust knowledge of the field of psychotherapy, counselling, and mental health.
  • Analyse effectiveness of marketing strategies and align future campaigns with current data and trends.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively by creating goals for yourself, meeting deadlines, and communicating ideas clearly to team members.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
