Role Overview
Our leading wealth management client is hiring for an experienced Commercial Assistant based within their UK Support Team. This position supports the sales and servicing process for frontline Partners, Financial Advisers (FAs), Private Client Managers (PCMs), and clients in the UK. The purpose is to ensure the frontline team has the information and support they need to manage new business and provide exceptional client service. While the primary focus of this role is client services, it also involves supporting the operational day-to-day running of the London office.
Responsibilities
- Client Support: Ensure UK Partners, FAs, and PCMs are well supported, including:
- Obtaining valuations and performance data
- Printing and collating client reports/application packs
- Liaising with providers and clients as needed
- Preparing and actioning required paperwork throughout the client journey
- Working closely with teams across the business to complete processing of dealings, withdrawals, applications, bereavements, power of attorneys
- Managing client data on XPLAN
- Ensuring data is accurate and kept up to date
- Data entry on behalf of Partners, FAs, PCMs
- Audits and ad hoc data management projects
- Processing all incoming and outgoing post and courier arrangements
- Resolving client and adviser queries via post, email, and telephone

- Operational Support:
- Task, inbox, and workload management
- Providing appropriate cover and support for the Head of UK Support during periods of annual leave, helping to maintain continuity across day-to-day team operations and adviser support
Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
- Competent level of IT literacy and demonstrable ability to quickly learn and adapt to different systems, platforms, and software as required.
- Strong IFA administration experience – 5 years or more:
- Experience working within a financial adviser firm, supporting the advisers by preparing and executing client instructions
- Knowledge on ISAs, GIAs, pensions, offshore bonds, and trusts.
- Ability to work with a degree of autonomy and confidence, including supporting team queries and maintaining service standards when senior support colleagues are unavailable.
- Experience with UK regulation and the rules that govern the processes that should be followed, such as GDPR and consumer duty.

- Industry qualification such as IOC/IMC
- Previous office administration experience
Location
This role is based full time in the London office, with the opportunity to work from home one day a week depending on business needs.
