This is a high-profile, multi-year development requiring someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable working within a demanding Tier 1-style project environment.
The project encompasses significant construction activity, including demolition, remediation, excavation, groundworks and reinforced concrete frame works, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to become an integral part of a major development team.
The Role
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and control of project information, ensuring documentation is correctly registered, reviewed, distributed and archived.

- Work closely with Site Managers, Engineers, Project Managers, Design Teams, Consultants and Subcontractors to maintain an efficient information flow.
- Produce regular document control and information status reports for the project management team.
- Monitor outstanding reviews, approvals and overdue documentation.
- Assist with project audits and ensure information management procedures are consistently followed.
- Maintain structured electronic filing systems and support the preparation of project information for handover and completion.
- Support the wider project team with document control and information management requirements as the development progresses.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
