We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior/Experienced Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Cinder Hill Equine Clinic in Horsted Keynes!
We are based around the beautiful Ashdown Forest in rural Mid Sussex with easy access to London and the south coast.
We are an 8-Vet practice providing services to a mix of competition yards, studs and leisure horses. Our clinic has surgical and inpatient facilities with regular visiting surgeons. We offer a range of services including ET, OPU/ICSI, advanced dentistry and laser surgery as well as high quality ambulatory work with great kit and back up from our fantastic team of 4 VNs/sVNs.
About The Role
We are looking for a Vet to join us on a full time basis where you will be working 40 hours per week although a part time role could be considered for the right applicant. We are covered full time by Equicall out of hours service but run a second on call rota of 1:8 outside of the stud season to cover inpatients, occasional scopes and booked in time critical minor procedures. Through the summer months we run separate stud and second on rotas.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
