Experienced Field Service Engineers at Wilcomatic Limited will install, commission, maintain, and repair vehicle wash systems and associated equipment at customer sites. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control system faults, performing preventive maintenance, and carrying out scheduled and reactive service visits. Engineers will provide on-site technical support and guidance, ensure work complies with safety and quality standards, and accurately document service activities, parts usage, and recommendations. The role involves close interaction with customers to explain findings, deliver a high level of service, and support continuous operation of wash environments. This is a full-time, on-site role across various locations across the UK, with travel to customer locations as required.

Qualifications

  • Strong Field Service experience, including installation, commissioning, and on-site support for industrial or automated systems.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues efficiently.
  • Solid Preventive Maintenance capabilities, including routine inspections, servicing, and performance optimization of equipment.
  • Effective Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build long-term relationships.
  • Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical engineering) are beneficial.
  • Experience working with automated wash systems, industrial machinery, or similar equipment, along with a strong awareness of health and safety practices, is advantageous.
  • A valid driver’s license, ability to work independently in the field, and flexibility to travel and respond to call-outs are important for success in this role.
