The ADHD Centre is a CQC-registered private organisation specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of neurodivergent conditions, including ADHD and Autism, across all age groups. With clinics in London and Manchester and comprehensive online services throughout the UK, the organisation offers accessible in-person and remote assessments. Since 2009, The ADHD Centre has provided holistic, evidence-based care to thousands of individuals, supported by recognised excellence awards from “I Want Great Care” in 2023 and 2024. Care is delivered by highly experienced, GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrists with specialised training in general psychiatry and neurodevelopmental disorders, supported by expert coaches and psychologists. In addition to individual clinical services, The ADHD Centre works with employers to develop inclusive workplaces and tailored support for neurodivergent employees.
Role Description
This contract remote role is for experienced GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrists providing ADHD and Autism services for adults and CAMHS clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, formulating diagnoses for ADHD, Autism, and related conditions, and developing personalised treatment plans. The role involves medication initiation and management, monitoring treatment efficacy and safety, and documenting clinical decisions in line with regulatory and professional standards. Consultants will collaborate with psychologists, coaches, and administrative teams to ensure coordinated care and support for clients and their families. Additional duties may include participation in multidisciplinary case discussions, contribution to service development, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of best practices in neurodevelopmental psychiatry.

Qualifications

- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise and inclusion on the Specialist Register in Psychiatry (e.g., General Adult Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry).
- On Specialist GMC Register for psychiatry.
- Substantial post-consultant experience in assessing and treating ADHD, Autism/ASD, and other neurodevelopmental disorders across adults and CAMHS populations.
- Strong clinical skills in comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnostic formulation, risk assessment, and evidence-based treatment planning.
- Experience in safe psychopharmacological management, including initiation, titration, and monitoring of ADHD medications and related treatments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, young people, adults, families, and multidisciplinary teams in remote and in-person settings.
- Ability to use telehealth platforms such as Zoom and electronic health record systems confidently, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Commitment to person-centred, holistic care, with an understanding of occupational, educational, and workplace implications of ADHD and Autism.
- Knowledge of relevant NICE guidelines, CQC standards, safeguarding procedures, and professional ethics in private and NHS-linked practice.
- Flexibility to work remotely on a contract basis, with reliable internet access.
