Company Description

Sanders de Roeper is an independent greetings card and design studio founded by Tim Sanders and Hatty de Roeper, based in Hastings, East Sussex. We create playful, thoughtful paper goods combining illustration, typography and special finishes, and our work is stocked by a growing number of independent and national retailers.

We are a small, family-run business and are currently growing our wholesale operation, so we are looking for an experienced, reliable person to support us with greetings card packing and fulfilment from our Hastings studio.

Role Description

This is a flexible, part-time, hybrid role based primarily at our studio in Hastings, with hours increasing depending on order volume.

The role will involve accurately picking, counting, packing and preparing greetings card orders for wholesale customers. Day-to-day tasks may include matching cards with envelopes, nesting or banding cards where required, preparing cartons and labels, receiving stock deliveries, checking quantities, maintaining accurate stock levels and keeping the packing area organised.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Greetings cards are a high-volume, relatively tight-margin product, so both accuracy and efficiency are important. We are looking for someone who naturally works at a good, consistent production pace, is conscious of time, and can stay focused while completing repetitive tasks carefully and correctly.

Different tasks naturally take different amounts of time. Straightforward nesting may be relatively quick, while banding, mixed-SKU picking, checking and boxing will take longer. What matters most is being able to work efficiently and independently while maintaining accuracy and quality throughout.

The role would suit someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, takes pride in getting orders right, and is comfortable working to clear packing instructions and deadlines.
