Experienced HGV Class 1 Hiab Driver

Location: Leicester
Salary: GBP18.00 per hour
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Technical Surfaces Ltd is the UK's leading artificial sports surface maintenance company. Based at our head office in Leicester, this role covers the whole of the UK and also services our office in Falkirk, Scotland.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 HIAB Driver to safely and efficiently transport and deliver goods and materials to customers and sites throughout the UK.

You will operate a Class 1 (C+E) HGV with HIAB crane, using forklifts, Avant loaders and ramps where required. You will be responsible for safely loading, unloading and securing materials and machinery, completing deliveries professionally and on time, and maintaining high standards of vehicle, crane and load safety.

The role also involves actively supporting our maintenance teams on site. This may include operating the HIAB, forklift or Avant to assist with works, such as loading bagged material into a dumper. Where required, you will remain on site for the duration of the works and work as part of the maintenance team. A member of the maintenance team may also travel in your vehicle to and from site.

The position involves tramping and overnight stays away from home, including multi-day journeys across different UK locations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
