Overview
We’re looking for an Experienced Kitchen Design Consultant to join our growing team across our Huddersfield, Leeds and Wakefield showrooms.
You’ll welcome customers into our showrooms, design beautiful German kitchens tailored to their lifestyle, and guide them through the entire journey: from the initial consultation to their finished kitchen. Combining great design, honest advice and exceptional customer service, you’ll help homeowners create a kitchen they’ll love for years to come.
At Prestons, we’re passionate about more than just kitchens, we’re passionate about creating a workplace where people genuinely enjoy what they do.
This isn’t a high-pressure sales environment. Our reputation, premium German kitchens and consistent flow of enquiries mean you can spend your time designing great kitchens and looking after customers - not chasing sales.
Location
Our Huddersfield, Leeds and Wakefield showrooms are all within approximately 25 minutes of each other, giving us flexibility across the business.
Depending on the role and your circumstances, you may be based at a single showroom or work across multiple locations. We’re happy to discuss what works best during the application process.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why join Prestons?
We’re big enough to offer real career opportunities, but small enough that everyone knows your name.
Everyone knows each other, chips in and has each other’s back. We work hard, have a laugh, and genuinely enjoy coming to work. Whether it’s seven-a-side football, regular team meals, activities or family events, we make time to get together outside of work too.
We’re designers first, not salespeople. There are no pushy sales scripts or pressure to sell the most expensive kitchen. Instead, we focus on creating exceptional kitchens, giving honest advice and making sure every customer has a brilliant experience.
You’ll be selling a product you can genuinely believe in. Our premium German kitchens, honest approach and strong reputation mean customers come to us looking for quality, not a hard sell. Combined with a regular flow of enquiries and a fair commission structure based on customer service, you’ll have everything you need to build a successful career.

We like to keep things simple.
Just send us an email telling us a little about yourself, your previous experience and why you’d like to join the team. If you’ve got a CV or examples of your work, feel free to include them too – but don’t worry if you haven’t.
If it sounds like we’d be a good fit for each other, we’ll arrange an informal chat.
