Experienced KS2 Teacher - Southend-on-Sea

We're looking for an experienced KS2 Teacher to take on a full-time position in Southend-on-Sea for the 2026/27 academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident classroom practitioner who can bring strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management and plenty of enthusiasm to their teaching. The school is looking for someone who can hit the ground running and provide pupils with engaging, purposeful learning throughout the year.

As an Experienced KS2 Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your classroom, build strong relationships with your pupils and play an important role within the wider teaching team.

Your Experience Will Be Valued

The successful teacher will be expected to:

  • Create a stimulating environment where pupils are motivated to learn
  • Use assessment effectively to track and improve progress
  • Adapt teaching to meet different learning needs
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement
  • Establish positive relationships with pupils and families
  • Work closely with colleagues to share ideas and best practice
  • Contribute positively to wider school life

What We're Looking For

  • QTS is essential
  • Strong previous experience teaching within KS2
  • A confident and experienced classroom practitioner
  • Excellent knowledge of the primary curriculum
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Ability to differentiate effectively
  • Excellent organisation and communication
  • A positive, professional and collaborative attitude
  • High expectations for pupil achievement
