Calluna Financial is looking for an experienced, commercially driven mortgage adviser to take ownership of an established opportunity base and help build the next stage of the business. Experience is the priority. This role may particularly suit an established self-employed adviser who has built a client book but now wants the stability, infrastructure and lead opportunities of an employed position.
The successful adviser will be expected to:
- Advise clients competently and compliantly from first conversation through to completion;
- Manage mortgage and appropriate protection opportunities as separate, clearly evidenced client outcomes;
- Generate leads proactively rather than rely only on opportunities handed to them;
- Use O’Malley Property’s vendors, buyers, applicants, landlords and local relationships as a responsible, consent-led source of mortgage and protection opportunities;
- Develop introducer and professional referral relationships;
- Maintain accurate CRM records, dated next actions, case notes and compliance evidence;
- Convert appointments into applications, completions and banked income while protecting client outcomes;
- Work collaboratively with O’Malley Property and the wider Calluna team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
