About the Role

We are looking for a confident, high-calibre Experienced Optical Assistant to join our dedicated team.

In this role, you will be a key pillar on the practice floor, delivering brilliant patient experiences from the moment someone walks through the door. Because this is an experienced role, you’ll be hands-on across all aspects of dispensing and practice flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispensing Expertise: Confidently dispensing frames and lenses at all levels—including complex prescriptions, bifocals, and progressive/varifocal lenses tailored to the patient’s lifestyle.
  • Patient Journey Support: Guiding patients through frame styling, pre-screening testing, and fitting/adjustments with care and attention to detail.
  • Front-of-House Excellence: Greeting patients, managing appointments, handling patient queries, and keeping the front-of-house running smoothly.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with our optometrists and practice team to ensure seamless handovers and top-tier clinical care.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Solid experience working as an Optical Assistant in an optometry practice.
  • Proven ability to dispense complex lenses and offer confident frame styling advice.
  • Great interpersonal skills—warm, approachable, and articulate.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for quality and precision.

Additional Information:

  • Our frame selection includes Tom Ford, Face-a-Face, Ørgreen, Moscot, Maui Jim.
  • We are a team of 7
  • The role requires you to work Saturdays
