We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced optical assistant to join our well-established and thriving team at Specsavers Stockport. Role Description

As an Experienced Optical Assistant at Specsavers Stockport, you will provide day-to-day support to customers in our on-site store, ensuring an excellent experience at every stage of their visit. This full-time role includes:

  • Welcoming and guiding customers
  • Assisting with frame selection and lens options
  • Managing bookings
  • Handling product queries
  • Supporting the dispensing process, ensuring accurate information is recorded in store systems

The role also involves:

  • Liaising closely with other team members
  • Maintaining a clean and organized environment
  • Supporting the delivery of consistent, high-quality eyecare services

Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills and a focus on Customer Satisfaction to build trust and provide a positive in-store experience.
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to explain products clearly and respond effectively to customer needs.
  • A basic understanding of Optometry or prior optical retail experience.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are highly beneficial.
  • Previous experience in an optical assistant or similar customer-facing role is essential; training will be provided to build on existing skills.
