Band 6 Experienced Physiotherapist In Medicine
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy Medicine Team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.
The clinician will primarily be working across the Renal and Oncology inpatient wards working closely with the MDT, whilst experience in these areas is preferable it is not essential. Rather we are looking for an experienced clinician with transferrable skills and past experience in General Medicine, Neuro, Respiratory and Complex Caseload management.
You will work within the wider Physiotherapy Medicine Team with experienced senior staff and be responsible for a clinical caseload and leadership responsibilities (including developing junior staff, students and deputising for Team Lead).

Required Qualifications and Experience
- NHS Physiotherapy experience
- A minimum of 1 year Band 6 experience (or evidence of equivalent skill)
- Excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, treatment, and leadership skills
- Contribute to a rostered weekend service
- Demonstrate the Trust’s values of Compassion, Aspiration, Resourcefulness, and Excellence
- Regularly participate in CPD

What You Will Do
- Work alongside senior colleagues to implement new initiatives
- Develop the service in line with best practice and clinical guidelines
- Develop managerial skills by supervising junior staff and students
- Contribute to service development
