Experienced Senior Accountant

£44,000 - £60,000 DOE | Coventry | Permanent, Full-Time

If you're an experienced practice accountant ready to move beyond pure production and take greater ownership of review, quality and team development, this could be an excellent next step.

A well-established accountancy business is looking for an Experienced Senior Accountant to take responsibility for reviewing client work, resolving technical queries and supporting the development of junior colleagues. Based in Coventry, this is a role for someone who enjoys varied client work, takes pride in getting the detail right and wants genuine responsibility rather than simply a larger workload.

The Role

The focus is on ensuring work is accurate, technically sound and delivered to a consistently high standard. You'll still be involved in preparation where needed, but a meaningful part of your time will be spent reviewing work, providing technical guidance and helping others develop.

The client portfolio includes owner-managed businesses, limited companies, partnerships and larger consolidated groups, giving you plenty of variety and requiring strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness.

You'll also play an important part in coaching junior colleagues, sharing your experience and helping raise standards across the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
