Experienced Sessional Counsellor

8 client hours per week (flexible days / times)

Rate of pay: £29.20 per hour

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified counsellor (BACP registered / accredited) to work with young people aged 11-25 both in our offices in central Winchester and offering Walk & Talk counselling in a local Nature Reserve. Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience required.

  • Weekly group supervision: will be provided free of charge (2 hours per month).
  • Supervision details:
    • Will take place at an agreed time.
    • With a supervisor appointed by WYC.
    • Can be face-to-face or online.
    • We cannot guarantee that supervision will be on the same day as the client hours.

The Counsellor will be required to provide 8 client hours per week across Mon - Thurs, with priority given to those who can offer 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm appointments. Opportunities for additional work may arise including in our paid for service, Oak Tree Counselling (to be discussed at interview).

  • Requirements:
    • Appointment subject to enhanced DBS check and favourable references.

Contract length: 1 year (renewable depending on funding)
