Job Description

Sports Therapy Centre is an established and busy private practice in Hinckley, with over 12 years of experience providing Sports Therapy, Injury Recovery, Sports Massage, and rehabilitation.

We are looking for an experienced Sports Massage Therapist, Level 4 or above, to join our established team on a self-employed basis.

This is an opportunity for an experienced therapist to join a clinic with an existing client base and established booking system, rather than needing to build a practice from scratch.

The Role

We are currently looking for a therapist who can commit to approximately:

  • Fridays – 10:00am–6:00pm
  • There may also be the opportunity to provide additional evening per week/afternoon sessions, depending on availability and clinic requirements.

The position is self-employed, with appointments managed through the clinic's existing booking and administration systems.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 4 Sports Massage qualification or above
  • Has a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification clinical experience
  • Has experience working independently with clients
  • Has previous private-practice experience – this would be a significant advantage
  • Is confident assessing musculoskeletal and soft-tissue problems
  • Can identify appropriate treatment approaches based on their assessment
  • Is confident providing appropriate rehabilitation exercises and advice
  • Understands when a client may require referral to another healthcare professional
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is professional, reliable, and confident working independently
  • Holds appropriate professional insurance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Type of Therapist We Are Looking For

This role is about much more than providing a massage.

Our clients come to us with a wide range of sports injuries, muscular problems, chronic and acute issues, movement restrictions, and rehabilitation needs. We therefore need someone who is clinically confident and able to assess, treat, and advise, rather than someone who simply follows a treatment routine.

You will need to be comfortable making your own clinical decisions, adapting treatment to the individual client, and providing appropriate rehabilitation advice.

We are particularly interested in hearing from therapists who have already worked within private practice and understand the professional standards, client expectations, and responsibilities that come with working in an established clinic.

What We Offer

  • An established private practice with over 12 years' local experience
  • An existing client base
  • Clinic booking and administration systems
  • Professional treatment environment
  • Opportunity to work alongside experienced Sports Therapists and other practitioners
  • Supportive team environment

Long-term Opportunity

We are looking for someone who wants to become a long-term member of our clinical team.

The successful applicant will already have the experience and confidence to work independently and will be looking to establish themselves within an existing private practice rather than using the role primarily as a stepping stone to gain experience.

We value therapists who take pride in their clinical work, build strong relationships with their clients, and want to contribute positively to an established team.
