We’re Hiring: Experienced Structural Engineer
Brody Forbes Ltd is a Civil & Structural Engineering Practice based in Plymouth. We provide engineering services across a wide range of projects relating to buildings and infrastructure across sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Residential, and Defence.
This is a permanent opportunity for an ambitious professional who combines strong technical expertise with confident leadership, commercial awareness, and a passion for delivering outstanding engineering solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Lead structural and civil engineering projects from concept through to completion
- Provide technical guidance, design oversight, and mentoring to junior engineers
- Work closely with clients, architects, contractors, and other key stakeholders
- Manage project programmes, budgets, risks, and quality standards
- Help shape innovative, practical, and sustainable engineering solutions
- Support the continued growth and development of the business
- Be involved in a variety of small to medium-sized design projects and structural inspections.

We’re looking for someone who is:
- Self-motivated, Incorporated or Chartered with ICE or IStructE, or actively working towards
- Experienced in leading multidisciplinary structural and civil engineering projects
- Confident in client-facing, technical, and commercial environments
- Skilled in design, analysis, project delivery, and team leadership
- Committed to quality, collaboration, and professional excellence

Salary
The salary range for this position is £45,000 to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. The annual holiday allowance is 25 days plus Bank Holidays.
