About Lebus Upholstery
Lebus Upholstery, which was established in 1840, has become one of the largest furniture manufacturers of UK produced upholstery, based in North Lincolnshire. We have a modern purpose-built 250,000 square feet factory supplying a wide range of furniture retailers across the UK and Ireland.
- Pay: £12.71 per hour, rising to OTE £17 per hour
- Contract: Permanent, full-time
- Hours: 39 hours per week
- Monday–Thursday: 6:45am–3:30pm
- Friday: 6:45am–2:05pm
- Location: Queensway Industrial Estate, Dunlop Way, Scunthorpe, DN16 3RN
- Holiday: Fixed factory shutdowns

We’re looking for an Experienced Upholsterer to join our skilled production team at Lebus Upholstery. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your expertise into a well-established, employee-owned manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality and craftsmanship.
All Lebus sofa frames are handmade on site, forming the foundation of the sofas and chairs that move through our factory to become finished furniture. Your expertise will directly impact the strength, longevity, and quality of our products.

What you’ll be doing
As Part Of The Upholstery Team, You’ll
- Apply foam, fabric, and coverings to furniture frames using established upholstery techniques
- Use a range of tools including compressed air staple guns and hand tools
- Produce high-quality finishes including piping, buttons, facings, studs, and pleats
- Ensure all work meets quality standards with excellent attention to detail
- Work efficiently to achieve production targets and timelines
- Maintain product knowledge to ensure correct build specifications
- Work as part of a team to support smooth manufacturing processes
- Keep your workspace clean, organised, and safe
- Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures
- Support other areas of manufacturing when required
This Role Is Ideal For You If You
- Have proven experience as an upholsterer
- Have strong practical skills and attention to detail
- Take pride in producing high-quality craftsmanship
- Can work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Are reliable, hardworking, and hands-on
- Work well within a team environment
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Experience within furniture manufacturing or high-volume production is advantageous.
