CW PIPEWISE LTD provides a wide range of utility and civil engineering services for domestic and commercial clients. The company’s work includes water pipe and leak repairs, improving water flow and pressure, and stop cock replacement. CW PIPEWISE LTD also delivers moling and excavating services, cable moling, and comprehensive groundworks. In addition, the team undertakes utility surveying and tracing, multi-utility installations, reinstatement, and broader civil projects, offering end-to-end solutions for complex infrastructure needs.
Role Description
The Experienced Utilities Engineer will work on-site in Mitcham in a full-time capacity, supporting the delivery of water and multi-utility projects from initial survey through to completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing water pipe leaks, improving water flow and pressure, and carrying out stop cock replacements. The role involves operating moling and excavating equipment, assisting with cable moling, and contributing to domestic and commercial groundworks and reinstatement activities. The engineer will support utility surveying and tracing, participate in multi-utility installations, and ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The position requires close collaboration with supervisors, site teams, and clients, accurate documentation of work, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

- Strong experience in water network works, including leak detection and repair, flow and pressure improvement, and stop cock replacement.
- Proficiency in moling, excavating, cable moling, and associated groundworks for domestic and commercial sites.
- Demonstrated ability in utility surveying, tracing of existing services, and participation in multi-utility installations.
- Solid understanding of civil engineering practices, reinstatement techniques, and construction site safety standards.
- Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in utilities, civil engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Knowledge of UK water industry regulations, safe digging practices, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret utility plans and drawings, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills on site.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-focused approach and willingness to mentor less experienced colleagues.
- Valid UK driving license and flexibility to work across various sites and in varying weather conditions.
