Location: Tallaght
Reports to: Lead vet
Schedule: 4 day working pattern, 1 in 4 Saturdays, 1 in 12 Sundays
Salary: €44,000-€60,000 DOE
About the Role
- Diagnose, treat, and care for patients to the high standards upheld by Village Vets.
- Investigate and manage cases thoroughly within the practice before referral, based on patient needs.
- Take full responsibility for patient care, including effective case handover and appropriate after‑hours or referral care.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records.
- Prescribe and dispense medications safely and correctly, supporting stock management as needed.
- Communicate clearly with clients, providing estimates and treatment options to support informed decision‑making.
- Deliver an outstanding client experience across all communication channels.
- Promote Pet Health Plans and Pet Insurance to support optimal patient care.
- Work collaboratively with the clinic team to ensure compassionate, high‑quality care.
- Provide veterinary training and guidance to support best practice across the team.
- Support the daily running and presentation of the clinic to Village Vets’ standards.
- Ensure all billing is accurate and correctly processed.

About You
- Have 2+ years’ experience in small animal practice
- VCI Registration
- Be confident in consultations, routine surgery, and case management
- Demonstrate strong clinical skills with a proactive and motivated approach
- Thrive in a team-focused environment and enjoy contributing to shared learning
- Be committed to delivering exceptional patient care and client service
- Have a genuine interest in continuous professional development
