Join a growing practice where your ideas and development matter
We're looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, supportive team at our modern, purpose-built practice in Coventry Canley. As we approach our first anniversary, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of a growing clinic while maintaining the exceptional standards of care and customer service we're known for.
Our close-knit team is passionate about delivering high-quality veterinary care to the local community. You'll be joining a practice where collaboration, clinical excellence, and professional development are genuinely encouraged.
About the team
You'll work alongside an experienced and dedicated support team, including:
- Three qualified RVNs, each with up to five years' experience.
- Two experienced receptionists.
- A Practice Manager who is an RVN with over 15 years' post-qualification experience.
- An experienced Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in exotics expected to join the team.
We're looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working collaboratively and is keen to help develop both the practice and those around them.
A varied caseload with genuine clinical freedom
As a busy first-opinion practice, you'll see a broad range of medical and surgical cases. We believe in keeping as much work in-house as possible, only referring when it's truly in the patient's best interests.
To support this, we regularly work with visiting referral-level surgeons who perform advanced procedures within the practice while mentoring our team. This creates excellent opportunities to expand your surgical and clinical skills in a supportive environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
