Experiential Creative Director – Exhibitions & Events UK
This is where big ideas become experiences people remember.
You’re a creative leader who knows that great experiential work is about more than how something looks. It’s about the story, the space, the audience and the moments that bring them together.
As an Experiential Creative Director, you’ll shape world-class exhibition and event experiences for some of the world’s most innovative brands, with a particular focus on the healthcare and aerospace sectors.
You’ll take complex products, technologies and ideas and turn them into experiences that people can understand, connect with and remember. You’ll work across narrative, spatial design, digital, content and technology to create experiences that are bold, human and commercially effective.
You’ll lead from the front creatively, bringing together multidisciplinary teams, challenging thinking, developing ideas and making sure the creative vision survives all the way from the first concept to the show floor.
If you’re as comfortable talking big ideas with a client as you are getting into the detail with a creative team, we’d like to hear from you.
Who are we?
We’re Spiro — a global brand experience company creating experiences that connect people with brands.
We work across exhibitions, conferences, live events, brand activations and digital experiences, bringing together strategy, creative, design, technology and production to create experiences that defy gravity.
Our teams work collaboratively across disciplines and geographies, and we’re ambitious about the work we create.
We’re looking for people who are curious, collaborative and prepared to challenge the expected — people who bring ideas, share knowledge and make the people around them better.
What you'll be doing
- Leading the creative vision for exhibitions, events and experiential activations, from the initial idea through to delivery.
- Developing compelling experience narratives that turn complex healthcare and aerospace technologies into clear, engaging and emotionally resonant stories.
- Creating overarching creative platforms that bring together spatial design, content, digital, technology and the attendee journey.
- Working closely with 3D, brand, digital, content, motion, strategy and production teams to develop cohesive experiences.
- Leading creative ideation sessions, concept development and client pitches with confidence and clarity.
- Working closely with 3D designers to shape spatial concepts, attendee flow, environments and architectural storytelling.
- Translating brand strategy and technical information into physical experiences that people can understand and engage with.
- Providing creative direction and constructive critique throughout design development, ensuring the original creative vision remains strong as ideas move towards production.
- Reviewing 3D visualisations, content and environmental storytelling and pushing the work to the highest possible standard.
- Exploring how digital, interactive and sensory technology can enhance physical experiences.
- Building strong relationships with clients and becoming a trusted creative partner and ambassador for Spiro.
- Working alongside Client Services and Growth teams to shape pitch strategy and bring creative thinking into new business opportunities.
- Supporting, coaching and mentoring creative talent, helping teams develop their thinking and produce their best work.
- Staying curious about emerging technologies, materials, formats and approaches that could change what’s possible in experiential.
- Attending installations and show openings where required, ensuring the final experience delivers against the creative vision.
- Generating and presenting thought leadership on behalf of Spiro and helping us stay ahead of where experiential is going next.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
