Military Expert Witness Associate – Royal Navy

Flexible | Home-based | £22,000–£60,000+ depending on commitment.

Are you a former Royal Navy officer looking for a flexible second career that makes genuine use of your military experience?

DJ Fox & Associates is an award-winning expert witness employment company working on military, police and civilian personal injury claims. We are looking for additional Royal Navy Associates to join our established national network.

Our Associates prepare employment reports that contribute to the legal process by assessing the impact of injury on an individual's employment opportunities. This is not about determining liability or deciding who is to blame. It is about producing balanced, evidence-based, and professionally presented reports that assist the court in reaching appropriate decisions.

The Opportunity

This is an intellectually demanding role for someone who enjoys analysing information, questioning assumptions, researching evidence and getting to the heart of a problem.

  • You will have considerable flexibility over where and when you work, with the opportunity to build your workload around your other commitments.
  • Earnings are expected to range from approximately £22,000 to £60,000, depending on the level of commitment, with the potential to increase further as your skills, experience and capacity develop.
  • You will join a supportive network of 23 Associates from military, police, civil service and HR/recruitment backgrounds, supported by a dedicated management and administrative team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
