Job Purpose

We are looking for a proactive and commercially focused Export Account Advisor to support and develop customer accounts across international markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day customer communication, coordinating orders from enquiry through to fulfilment, supporting export operations and identifying opportunities to develop existing and new customer accounts.

You will need excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving wholesale environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with international customers.
  • Handle customer enquiries, quotations, orders and product requests.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and delivery.
  • Follow up on quotations, enquiries and potential sales opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for new products, sales and account growth.
  • Maintain accurate customer and order records.
  • Support export documentation and international shipping requirements.
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently.
  • Keep customers informed about product availability, promotions and offers.
  • Support the development of new international business opportunities.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in export sales, account management, customer service, wholesale or FMCG is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proactive approach with strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with international customers or export markets is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Personal Specification

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, commercially aware and proactive, with the ability to build strong relationships and manage multiple customer requirements simultaneously.

You should be comfortable taking ownership of your workload, following up on outstanding actions and communicating clearly with both customers and internal teams.

A strong attention to detail is essential, particularly when dealing with pricing, orders, documentation and export requirements.
