Circa £31,000 plus benefits

If you would like to work for a busy transport business where no one day will be the same and you will have ongoing training & development, this is the perfect export/import role for you. Great company, great team and really great location.

Job Role / Duties

  • Prepare and process import and export documentation.
  • Coordinate shipments with hauliers, freight forwarders, carriers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Assist with customs clearance and ensure documentation meets all relevant requirements.
  • Monitor and track shipments, providing timely updates where required.
  • Check the accuracy of commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and related paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and customs documentation.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure the smooth movement of goods.
  • Investigate and resolve delivery, documentation, and shipment issues.
  • Ensure all import and export procedures comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Transport Operations and Planning Manager and wider logistics team.

Requirements

To be considered for this role you MUST:

  • Possess experience in an import and export, freight forwarding, customs, shipping, or logistics role.
  • Understand import and export procedures and documentation.
  • Be an excellent coordinator and administrator.
  • Have excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Be highly organized, able to prioritize, and work well under pressure.
  • Have proven ability using Microsoft Office.
  • Be professional, reliable, and have a proactive approach.
