Job Description: Export Manager
On behalf of a well-established international company operating in maritime transport and logistics, we are looking for an experienced Export Manager to join the commercial team in Liverpool, with responsibility for developing international business and strengthening the company's network of customers and commercial partners. The company provides maritime freight, shipping and integrated logistics solutions to businesses operating across international markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing new commercial opportunities, acquiring customers and managing strategic relationships with importers, exporters, freight forwarders and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new international business opportunities within the maritime transport and shipping sector.
- Identify and acquire new B2B customers, exporters, importers and commercial partners.
- Develop relationships with freight forwarders, logistics companies, manufacturers and international trading businesses.
- Manage and expand the existing customer portfolio.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations and customized transport solutions.
- Negotiate rates, contracts and long-term commercial agreements.
- Monitor international freight markets and identify new business opportunities.
- Develop commercial strategies for assigned territories and customer segments.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline and commercial KPIs through CRM.
- Represent the company at international logistics, shipping and transport events.
- Work closely with Operations, Customer Service and Logistics teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Achieve agreed revenue, margin and customer-acquisition targets.

Candidate Profile
- 3+ years of experience in Export, International Sales, Shipping, Freight Forwarding or Logistics.
- Proven experience in B2B commercial development and international customer acquisition.
- Strong knowledge of maritime transport, ocean freight or international logistics.
- Established network within shipping, freight forwarding, manufacturing or international trade will be considered a strong advantage.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-management skills.
- Strong commercial mindset and proven ability to generate new business.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple international accounts.
- Fluent English; additional European languages are highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel internationally when required.
- Based in Liverpool or the surrounding area.
