Overview
Deloitte is currently supporting a leading insurance and reinsurance business with the appointment of an experienced Exposure Management professional to provide additional capacity and leadership support to the existing team.
This is a senior contract opportunity suited to an experienced VP / Director-level Exposure Management professional with a strong background within the insurance market.
Working closely with the Chief Risk Officer and senior leadership team, you will provide subject-matter expertise and leadership across Exposure Management, supporting the existing function during a period of increased demand.

The successful individual will bring strong market knowledge and practical experience of Exposure Management within an insurance or reinsurance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level leadership and subject-matter expertise across the Exposure Management function.
- Support the CRO and senior leadership team with Exposure Management insight, analysis, and risk considerations.
- Provide additional capacity and leadership to the existing Exposure Management team.
- Apply strong understanding of catastrophe risk and catastrophe modelling within an insurance/reinsurance environment.
- Review and challenge exposure data, methodologies, assumptions, and outputs to support effective risk management.
- Contribute to the assessment and management of catastrophe exposures across relevant lines of business.
- Work collaboratively with Risk, Underwriting, Actuarial, and other stakeholders.
- Provide clear, commercially relevant insight and communicate complex Exposure Management topics to senior stakeholders.
- Support the ongoing development and enhancement of Exposure Management practices, processes, and controls.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong Exposure Management experience within insurance/reinsurance, operating at VP, Director, or equivalent senior level.
- Strong knowledge/experience of catastrophe modelling and its application within Exposure Management.
- The ability to provide both hands-on technical expertise and leadership support.
- Strong understanding of catastrophe risk, exposure data, and modelling outputs.
- Experience engaging with CROs, senior leadership, and other key stakeholders.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to quickly establish credibility and operate effectively within an existing team.
