Job Title: Exposure Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an Exposure Manager to lead framework design, execution, and exposure reporting for the SiriusPoint Group and all legal entities. In this influential role, you will:

  • Shape and drive the Exposure Management strategy for SiriusPoint Group and associated legal entities (including SIMA)
  • Oversee data capture, aggregations, concentrations of risk, and reporting procedures
  • Lead development of exposure management processes and tools across new and existing lines of business
  • Provide insights, analytics, and executive reporting at both the portfolio and individual risk level for stakeholders
  • Monitor accumulation risk against Group and legal entity limits / thresholds
  • Develop, establish, and continuously improve the Exposure Management framework, including policies, procedures, and process documentation
  • Supply data / validation for Group and Syndicate Capital Models
  • Deliver critical exposure management reports to:
    • Lloyd’s syndicates
    • Regulatory bodies
    • Relevant committees, Board, and third parties
  • Respond to inquiries from regulators and rating agencies as required
  • Represent Exposure Management at appropriate internal and external committees or forums
  • Ensure minimum standards (RIO) for SIMA Syndicate 1945 in respect of Exposure Management
  • Perform any additional duties as reasonably required

Position is based at SiriusPoint group HQ in Bermuda (office-based)


Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Reporting

    • Deliver actionable insights to Executive Management, including the Executive Leadership Team, P&L Leaders and Product Heads
    • Serve as a trusted advisor on portfolio performance, accumulation risks, and controls
    • Maintain proactive engagement with key stakeholders across the organisation
  • Process & Tool Development

    • Drive innovation in exposure methodology, risk modelling, and data governance
    • Enhance existing and create new frameworks for risk aggregation underwriting
  • Regulatory & Compliance

    • Ensure adherence to retrospective indemnity obligations (RIO), Lloyd’s, and regulatory standards
    • Act as liaison between Exposure teams, Syndicates, and regulatory authorities
  • Technical & Modelling Expertise

    • Develop sophisticated analyses leveraging SQL and advanced modelling platforms (e.g., Sequel Impact, Praedicat, Skytek, Orchestra)
    • Maintain industry knowledge in catastrophe-permitting lines of business and familiarisation with Realistic Disaster Scenario (RDS) methodologies

Requirements

Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven experience in portfolio risk management in insurance or reinsurance, preferably within a specialty underwriting or broadlined market environment
  • Experience overseeing exposure management frameworks across multiple lines of business
  • A strong foundation in catastrophe modelling and exposure management processes
  • Familiarity with program management structures and relationships with third-party intermediaries (e.g., MGAs)
  • Underwriting acumen within non-modelled line segments and aggregated business models preferred

Technical Skills

  • Expertise with exposure tracking platforms (e.g., Sequel Impact, CATRAS, ISO, Symphony unaffected, eXpanse)
  • SQL, advanced analytics tools and ability to program in R/Python/VBA (additional programming languages advantageous)
  • Data management ability to create and validate international regulatory and non-regulatory reports

  • Analytical problem-solving to resolve complex challenges
