Expression of Interest – Electrical Installation Lecturer
Ready to take your electrical career in a new direction?
Sunderland College is looking to hear from experienced electricians who may be interested in sharing their industry knowledge and helping to develop the next generation of electrical professionals.
You may already be an experienced lecturer, or you could be an electrician considering teaching for the first time. Either way, we’d love to hear from you.
This is an opportunity to join our expanding Construction Team at Sunderland College, part of Education Partnership North East (EPNE), and play an important role in shaping the future of Electrical Installation.
Why Sunderland College?
Sunderland College is one of the North East’s largest providers of post-16 education, supporting around 14,300 students across three campuses in Sunderland.
We’re proud of our students, our staff and the outcomes we achieve. In October 2024, Sunderland College was graded Outstanding by Ofsted across all areas, reflecting our commitment to high-quality teaching, learning and student support.
We’re also committed to our staff. When you join us, you’ll be part of a supportive team where your industry experience is valued, your development is encouraged and you’ll receive the support you need to succeed.
Could teaching be your next career move?
You don’t need to have teaching experience to be considered.
If you’re a qualified electrician with strong practical and theoretical knowledge of Electrical Installation, we can support you in making the transition from industry into further education.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
