Why we exist
We can get food, groceries and rides to our door on demand but accessing healthcare still means battling outdated systems, long waiting lists and travelling to sometimes overstretched clinical facilities.
Demand is rising, capacity in clinical settings is not coping, and patients' expectations of how they manage their health have fundamentally changed. That is why Heim exists: to build the AI layer for the last mile of healthcare, and make home the default place for patients to access care, at scale.
We surface and optimise unused practitioner availability, then work with healthcare providers to deliver care ranging from blood sample collection to wound dressing, reaching patients where and when they feel most comfortable.
About us
We're a team of technologists, clinicians and commercial leaders with a track record of launching, scaling and exiting ventures in cloud technology and healthcare.
Before Heim, James Monico and Kelly Klifa built Testing For All, scaling the not-for-profit diagnostics provider into the go-to platform for Covid testing during the pandemic, testing over a million patients in under 18 months. Before that, James co-founded and scaled Cloudreach, exiting to Blackstone in 2017. Dr Elle Clarke, our Medical Director, is a fellow of the 2026 NHS Innovation Accelerator.

What we look for, whatever the role
- Extreme ownership and high velocity, paired with a real appreciation for clinical safety in a high-stakes environment
- Low-ego collaboration across the whole organisation, engineers, commercial, clinical and implementation alike
- Curiosity and initiative. You want to look under the hood, evaluate trade-offs and dig into the data rather than accept the first answer
- A belief that there is beauty in simplicity, and a habit of returning to first principles on complex problems
- A critical mind that guides the people around you towards clear decisions
- Comfort with an unstructured, fast-moving environment, and readiness to be challenged
- You never lose sight of the reality faced by nurses and patients out in the community
