Expression of Interest: Voluntary Online CPD Course/module Writers (Perioperative Practice)

Writers will adapt content for different professional groups and learning levels, support quality assurance processes, and incorporate feedback from peer review.

This is a voluntary, remote role designed to be fully flexible around your professional and personal commitments. You can contribute as much or as little time as you choose, with no minimum requirement. Every contributor is supported by our PeriCentra team to ensure all content meets our high standards for consistency, clarity, and educational quality.

Qualifications/Experience

Essential

• Registered healthcare qualification (ODP, Nurse, or allied health professional) with active HCPC or NMC registration.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain perioperative concepts clearly for a range of learners.
• Good analytical and research skills to appraise evidence, interpret guidelines, and translate findings into practical learning content.
• Relevant perioperative clinical experience (e.g., ODP, nursing, allied health).
• Ability to collaborate remotely, respond constructively to feedback, and work at a comfortable pace within flexible timelines.
• Basic digital confidence, including using online platforms and tools (Microsoft Office, internet research, email). Experience with e-learning design is helpful but not required.

Desirable

• Education or mentorship qualification or experience supporting learning in practice.
• Demonstrated writing ability, ideally in clinical or educational contexts, with attention to clarity, structure, and learner engagement.
• Experience in teaching or training, such as developing learning materials, facilitating sessions, mentoring, or supporting professional development.
• Familiarity with CPD expectations and regulatory requirements (HCPC/NMC).
