About the role
Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and dedicated Casual Exterior Painter to join our Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong painting and decorating skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for maintaining the appearance and presentation of a world-class luxury property.

This is a casual role working during daytime hours, supporting the upkeep and enhancement of the hotel's exterior buildings, facilities, and surrounding estate. As a Casual Exterior Painter, you will play a key role in preserving the exceptional standards of Four Seasons by carrying out high-quality exterior painting, decorating, and surface preparation work across the resort. You will help ensure our buildings and outdoor facilities remain attractive, well-maintained, and welcoming for guests and employees alike.
What you will do
- Prepare exterior surfaces for painting through cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming as required.
- Carry out high-quality exterior painting and decorating across hotel buildings, guest facilities, fencing, outdoor structures, and other estate areas.
- Assess surfaces and identify repair requirements before commencing painting works.
- Ensure all work is completed to a professional standard while maintaining the aesthetic appearance of the property.
- Safely use painting equipment, tools, ladders, access equipment, and materials in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
- Monitor and report any maintenance concerns or defects identified while working around the property.
- Work closely with the Engineering and Grounds teams to coordinate projects and minimise disruption to guests.
- Manage painting materials efficiently and support stock control where required.
- Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and company standards throughout the course of work.

What you bring
- Previous experience in exterior painting and decorating, ideally within hospitality, commercial, residential, or heritage properties.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques, paints, coatings, and decorating materials.
- Ability to produce high-quality finishes with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working safely at height and using ladders or access equipment where required.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- A commitment to health and safety best practices.
- Strong work ethic and pride in maintaining exceptional presentation standards.
- Flexibility to work on a casual basis in line with operational requirements and weather conditions.
