📣 External Communications Associate – Entertainment & Creators (EMEA)
📍 Central London | Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote
📅 6-month maternity cover | ASAP – 15 March 2027
đź’· ÂŁ37.50 per hour PAYE | Equivalent to c. ÂŁ78,000 pro rata
We’re looking for an experienced External Communications / PR professional to join a leading global technology and entertainment platform, supporting communications across YouTube Entertainment and its creator ecosystem throughout EMEA.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with strong consumer, entertainment, media or creator communications experience who knows how to turn cultural and industry moments into compelling stories.
The role
Working across regional and global communications teams, you’ll develop and execute external communications strategies that build awareness, excitement and understanding around YouTube Entertainment, creators and key initiatives across EMEA. You’ll work closely with PR teams across individual markets as well as Partnerships, Product, Marketing and senior leadership teams in Europe and the US.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and execute creative PR and communications campaigns to drive awareness, usage and excitement around YouTube Entertainment.
- Create compelling communications materials including press releases, narratives, pitches, blog posts, FAQs, announcements, presentations and social content.
- Manage incoming media and editorial enquiries, synthesising information and drafting clear, accurate responses.
- Identify strong stories around creators, entertainment and culture, working with in-country PR teams to secure coverage across consumer and local media.
- Develop EMEA-specific narratives and communications materials that showcase creativity and the creator ecosystem on YouTube.
- Brief spokespeople and senior stakeholders ahead of media interviews, announcements and launches.
- Act as a communications representative and spokesperson for relevant business or product areas.
- Analyse business, corporate and public affairs objectives alongside the wider media, entertainment and external landscape to shape communications strategy.
- Work closely with external PR agencies, setting objectives, providing content and driving key projects and workstreams.
- Track campaign effectiveness, media response and feedback to continually improve communications strategy.
- Partner cross-functionally with Partnerships, Product, Marketing, Communications and Leadership teams across EMEA and the US.

What we're looking for

You’ll ideally bring strong experience within external communications, consumer PR, entertainment PR, media communications or creator/influencer communications, gained either in-house or agency-side.
We’re particularly interested in people with experience across:
- Entertainment, media, digital platforms or the creator economy
- Strategic external communications and media relations
- Consumer-facing PR campaigns
- Executive communications and spokesperson briefing
- Crisis and reputation communications
- Working with journalists and responding to media enquiries
- Developing press releases, pitches, narratives and briefing materials
- Managing senior and cross-functional stakeholders
- Working across multiple EMEA markets
- Translating complex information into clear, engaging stories
- Understanding current media, entertainment, creator and cultural trends
You’ll need to be comfortable operating at pace, managing multiple stakeholders and workstreams, and working with a high degree of autonomy.
