Job Title: External Communications Associate

Location: London, UK (Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days remote)

Contract Duration: ASAP - Until March 2027

Remuneration: £37.50 per hour


Our Client is seeking an experienced External Communications Associate to join a high-profile communications team supporting entertainment, creator, and digital media initiatives across the EMEA region. This is an excellent opportunity for a communications professional with strong media relations, PR, and content development experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver strategic communications plans to support business priorities, product initiatives, and brand reputation.
  • Draft high-quality communications materials including press releases, media pitches, blog posts, FAQs, executive briefs, presentations, announcements, and social content.
  • Manage media enquiries and support responses to editorial requests and information releases.
  • Design and execute creative PR campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and audience excitement.
  • Work closely with regional and local communications teams to amplify stories across multiple markets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Partnerships, Product, Marketing, and Leadership teams to support launches and strategic initiatives.
  • Brief spokespeople and support media interviews and external engagements.
  • Track campaign performance, monitor feedback channels, and provide recommendations to optimise communications strategies.
  • Support agency partners, ensuring deliverables align with communications objectives and timelines.
  • Create compelling presentations and visual communication materials for events and stakeholder engagement activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in external communications, public relations, corporate communications, or media relations.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and channels.
  • Experience delivering communications campaigns across multiple markets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of media landscapes, industry trends, and reputation management.
  • Experience supporting executive communications and spokesperson briefings.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and compelling narratives.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience within entertainment, media, creator, technology, or digital platforms is highly desirable.
