About The Role
Join us here at Poundland & Dealz as an External Crime Support Partner, based at our Walsall Customer Support Centre 5 days per week.
In this role, you'll support our stores when external crime occurs, acting as the link between our store teams, law enforcement and internal stakeholders. From reviewing CCTV and preparing evidence to supporting investigations and identifying repeat offenders, you'll play a key role in helping protect our colleagues, customers and business.
Working closely with the Investigations Manager and wider Profit Protection team, you'll manage requests from stores and the Police, ensure evidence is handled correctly and support successful prosecutions. You'll also work with Facilities and store teams to help maintain CCTV standards and identify opportunities to improve security across our estate.
We're looking for someone with experience in retail security, investigations or profit protection who is confident managing sensitive information and building relationships with internal and external partners. Experience working with CCTV systems and law enforcement would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in someone with the right attitude who is keen to develop.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
