External Reporting Manager - £80-85k - London (Hybrid)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified ACA to join a high-profile, global listed business as an External Reporting Manager within the Technology sector.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of External Reporting, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely Group reporting, while helping shape the future of the finance function during a period of finance transformation and organisational change.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to broaden their exposure within a large, complex organisation and drive meaningful improvements across Group reporting and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of quarterly and annual external reporting, ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines and requirements.
- Coordinate the production of trading updates, results announcements, and financial statement disclosures.
- Own key reporting areas including related parties, exceptional items, provisions, contingent liabilities, ESG reporting etc.
- Partner with business units to review balance sheet positions and financial reporting matters.
- Liaise with external auditors during the audit and review of the Group's financial statements and controls.
- Contribute to Audit Committee and Board papers on financial reporting and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, controls, and documentation.
- Lead the preparation of ancillary financial reports, pro forma information, and other statutory disclosures.

- Experience of annual reports and financial statements, either within a listed company or within an audit firm.
- Organisational: Strong organisational skills, including ability to prioritise own workload under pressure to tight deadlines; resilient and able to work on multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- Project leadership: Able to lead projects with minimal oversight, acting proactively to devise scope and timetable; identify key stakeholders, obtain buy-in and hold to account; and oversee through to completion.
- Process/controls improvement: Ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and document from scratch.
- Attention to detail: Strong analytical skills and very high level of attention to detail.
- Teamwork: Enjoy working in a team and an enthusiastic, positive attitude.
- Relationships: Ability to build positive working relationships, supported by strong communication skills.
