We design and supply solutions to a diverse customer base, including schools needing extra classrooms, commercial businesses needing additional office space and construction sites needing a complex of offices and welfare facilities.
About The Role
Pickerings is looking for an experienced and commercially driven External Sales Manager to lead and develop our national field-based sales team.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you’ll take ownership of sales performance, pipeline development and revenue growth, while creating a high-performance culture across the team.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a national external sales team.
- Drive sales activity, revenue, pipeline and conversion.
- Set clear targets, KPIs and performance expectations.
- Improve sales processes, forecasting and customer relationship management discipline.
- Spend time in the field coaching and developing team members.
- Identify new business opportunities and maximise existing customer relationships.
- Analyse performance and provide commercial insight to the Head of Sales.
- Build a proactive, accountable and commercially focused sales culture.
About You
You’ll be an experienced B2B sales leader with a proven track record of managing field-based teams and delivering results through people, ideally within the temporary building industry.
