Extrusion Grinder Operative

We are looking for a Extrusion Grinder Operative to join our Durham Team, working in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Extrusion Manager, you will be required to actively participate within the Extrusion department to ensure the business achieves agreed production objectives and targets, whilst complying with Company standards and ensuring correct records are maintained for traceability purposes.

Your Primary Tasks Will Be

  • As an Extrusion Grinder operative you will process waste material through the grinding operation in accordance with SOP’s.
  • You will remove scrap and/or unused materials and store in correct locations.
  • You will dispose of start-up film in collaboration with the Extrusion Team.
  • As Extrusion Grinder Operative you will ensure the safe operation, general maintenance and cleaning of grinding equipment.
  • You will ensure the correct material is sent/allocated to the corresponding silos.
  • You will ensure the correct material is sent/allocated to ‘big bags’ when required, ‘big bags are correctly identified and booked in to the relevant location using M3.
  • As Extrusion Grinder Operative you will grind scrap material according to schedules and accurately record data as required.
  • You will adopt a ‘clean as you go’ approach to ensure housekeeping standards are effectively maintained.
  • As Extrusion Grinder Operative you will support and train colleagues, where necessary, in line with work instructions and SOP’s.
  • You will contribute to and participate in Company improvement activities.
  • As Extrusion Grinder Operative you will carry out additional and/or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for technical work and a good understanding of the granulation process although full training will be provided. You should also have:

Hours of Work

This is a permanent role working on a continental 4on-4off shift pattern rolling days (0600 – 1800) & nights (1800 – 0600). On occasion you may need to work additional hours to adapt to business needs.

Salary

£31,806.77 (inclusive of 25% Shift Premium).
