Extrusion Manager | Mackle Food Company

We are looking for an experienced Extrusion Manager to join our production team at Mackle Food Company.
This is a key operational role with technical ownership of our extrusion and flavouring processes, with a strong focus on safety, product quality, process efficiency, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Ownership – Manage the product flow from raw materials through extrusion and flavouring, ensuring efficient and consistent processing.
- Safety & Compliance – Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, GMP and hygiene across the extrusion and flavouring areas, ensuring continuous audit readiness.
- Asset & Tool Control – Maintain strict control, logging, and secure storage of extrusion dies, blades, screws, and other critical processing components.
- Flavour & Stock Management – Oversee accurate application of flavours and oils, stock management, and traceability documentation.
- Team Development – Own the technical training matrix and ensure operators are fully trained and competent across extrusion and flavouring processes.
- Yield & Waste – Drive improvements in yield, efficiency, and waste reduction while identifying opportunities to reduce processing costs.
- NPD Collaboration – Work closely with our Product Development team to support trials, scale-up, and successful launches of new products.

What we're looking for:
- Minimum 3 years' experience leading large teams within a production environment
- Strong manufacturing and process-management experience
- Extrusion experience is desirable
- Strong focus on food safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Ability to lead, develop, and support production teams
