The role

Looking for a rewarding manufacturing career with opportunities to develop and progress? Join VEKA's Extrusion team and play a vital role in producing the high-quality profiles that make us an industry leader. You'll work as part of a supportive team, operating extrusion lines, carrying out quality checks, resolving process issues, and driving continuous improvement. This role requires flexibility to work a rotating 4-shift pattern of 12-hour days (7:00am to 7:00pm) and nights (7:00pm to 7:00am). The starting salary for this role is £33,742.80 per annum.

What you'll do

  • Operate extrusion lines to manufacture high-quality PVC-U profiles, ensuring production runs efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor product quality through regular visual and dimensional inspections, taking action to resolve issues where required.
  • Complete production records and quality documentation accurately in line with company standards and procedures.
  • Work closely with colleagues to manage multiple production lines and maintain effective communication across shifts.
  • Promote high standards of housekeeping, health and safety, and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Develop your skills through structured training, with the opportunity to progress towards a Process Technician role.

  • Basic machining knowledge would support an application, although not essential
