One Planet Renewables – OPR Training is an LCL Awards accredited training provider delivering specialist programmes for the Building Services Industries through structured training and assessment. The organization offers Level 3 F Gas courses for professionals working in air conditioning, refrigeration, and heat pump sectors, supporting skills development in high-demand areas. The company also delivers courses in flammable refrigerants (hydrocarbons), hot water safety systems (unvented), energy efficiency, water regulations, and oxy-fuel brazing, offering learners a broad technical portfolio.
Role Description
The F Gas Trainer role is a contract, on-site position based in Cannock. The trainer will deliver high-quality F Gas training sessions, ensuring learners understand current regulations, safe working practices, and practical skills for air conditioning, refrigeration, and heat pump systems. - Preparing lesson plans and training materials
- Delivering classroom and workshop-based instruction
- Assessing learner competence through written and practical assessments
- Maintaining accurate training records
- Providing guidance and feedback to learners
- Supporting learners in achieving certification
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of course content in line with industry standards and regulatory updates
- Collaborating with administrative staff to schedule courses, manage resources, and uphold health and safety procedures on-site

Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise in F Gas regulations and practical experience with air conditioning, refrigeration, and heat pump systems.
- Demonstrated training, teaching, or assessing experience within building services or a related technical field.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant standards, including flammable refrigerants, hot water safety systems, energy efficiency, and water regulations (desirable).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support diverse learner groups.
- Recognized industry qualifications in refrigeration, air conditioning, or mechanical services; assessor or teaching qualifications (e.g., AET, PTLLS) are an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safe working practices and compliance.
- Ability to work independently on-site in Cannock and collaborate effectively with the wider training team.
