Hybrid: Can be based at either Manchester, Leeds or Edinburgh (2 days per week onsite)
6 Months (Possibility for extension)
£650 per day
In short:
We’re seeking an F5 SME to assist in the Study and Design of F5’s.
This isn’t a hands-on config requirement; it’s more of an analysis role.
About this opportunity
The core role sits within the F5 Delivery team which is part of the Network Security and Traffic Management Lab within the Core Infrastructure Platform.
The role incorporates Study capability that will be the core of your development and deliveries. You should be able to rapidly assimilate domain knowledge and apply this in a sophisticated technical environment. You can confidently work alone but can collaborate productively.
Role Requirements and Skills & Experience:
- Collaborate with our team to design, configure, test, and maintain F5 Devices.
- Utilise your expertise in F5 Big-IP (LTM, GTM/DNS, APM, AWAF), Jenkins, GitHub, or similar technologies to enhance our network infrastructure.
- Build and deploy technologies for both private and public cloud environments, ensuring seamless integrations.
- Contribute to the development of Enterprise applications that will support our banking operations.
- A proven track record as a Infrastructure Engineer.
- Agile methodologies and tooling such as Jira and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python and enterprise integrations.
- Familiarity with AppViewX ADC+, DO and AS3.
- Strong understanding of network technologies, IP Routing protocols, and Firewalls.
- Demonstrable experience in building and deploying technologies for private and public cloud environments.
- Experience in modern Cloud based architectures, CaaS, IaaS.
- Knowledge of traditional datacentre hosted architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Good understanding of Operational Resilience and Security.
