Fabric Technician

Elstree (WD6 1FX)
£15.00 per hour (PAYE)
Full-time, temporary
23 April 2026 – 10 May 2026

We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to work at a high-profile site in Elstree. This is a full-time temporary role, ideal for someone with a strong background in building maintenance and carpentry.

Working hours:

  • 40 hours per week (shift pattern to be confirmed)

About the role:

You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of fabric and general maintenance tasks, ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard and all works are completed safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responding to reactive maintenance tasks within agreed timescales
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Repairing floor and wall coverings
  • Ceiling tile repairs and replacements
  • General building maintenance and minor project works
  • Basic plumbing, lighting and filter changes (AHU’s / FCU’s)
  • Conducting site surveys and preparing method statements and risk assessments
  • Using PDA systems to log work and updates
  • Liaising with client representatives on-site

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Fabric Technician or similar role
  • Carpentry qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
  • Experience in a high-profile or commercial environment
  • Good understanding of health & safety (COSHH, working at height, risk assessments)
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • IT literate and comfortable using handheld/PDA systems
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
  • IOSH/NEBOSH (desirable)
