Fabric Engineer Painting & Decorating Bias FM Service Provider Commercial Building

Knightsbridge, South West London

Up to £42,000 per annum - No Call out

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in Knightsbridge, South West London. CBW is recruiting a Fabric Engineer with a Painting & Decorating bias to work at a high-end commercial building in Knightsbridge.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of general building fabric maintenance, with a specific bias towards Painting & Decorating, and must hold a Level 2 qualification in Painting & Decorating.

In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £42,000 per annum, overtime opportunities, and further training.

Package & Working Hours

  • Up to £42,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
  • 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays rising to 28 days + Bank holidays
  • No call out

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Painting & Decorating across the site
  • General fabric repairs and maintenance
  • Touching up and maintaining paintwork
  • Furniture moves and porterage
  • Basic lighting
  • Fixing furniture
  • Hanging pictures and shelves
  • Maintaining and updating logbooks
  • Assisting the maintenance team with site duties, including PPMs, fire alarm tests, tap temperature checks, and flushing
  • Escorting sub-contractors
  • Undertaking general fabric duties, including tightening hinges, installing/repairing blinds, changing locks, and carrying out minor repairs to cabinets and desks
  • Assembling small items of equipment and furniture, such as chairs
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with Health & Safety requirements

Requirements

  • Level 2 qualification in Painting & Decorating Essential
  • Strong Painting & Decorating background/bias
  • Experience within commercial building maintenance
  • Good knowledge and understanding of general building fabric duties
  • Good communication skills
  • Health & Safety experience
  • Basic PC literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, internet, and smartphone use
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage tight time constraints and prioritise workload
