Fabric Engineer / Fabric Handyman

Location: Dartford

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–3:00pm

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x Monday–Saturday and 2.0x Sundays & Bank Holidays

We are looking for a Fabric Engineer / Fabric Handyman to join our team based in Dartford. This is a great opportunity for a practical, reliable and hands-on individual looking for a stable role with excellent overtime opportunities, training and career progression.

The Role

As a Fabric Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out general building and fabric maintenance across the site. You'll be a practical all-rounder, dealing with day-to-day repairs and ensuring the building and facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • General fabric and handyman maintenance
  • Basic painting and decorating
  • Basic carpentry and joinery
  • Minor repairs and remedial works
  • General building maintenance
  • Responding to maintenance requests
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard
  • Supporting the wider facilities and engineering team when required

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a fabric, handyman, maintenance or building role
  • Good practical skills and a hands-on approach
  • Basic painting and decorating experience
  • Basic carpentry skills
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • A positive attitude towards learning and development
